Sometimes I watch an episode or two of Madam Secretary (1)- and it gets me thinking about crucial conversations and starting with your heart like nothing else. While it’s great to have your team skilled in crucial conversations, it is even better if those who teach it to the team also practice it themselves within that very organization.
At one point or another, you're going to have to talk about something that uncomfortable, heated, or emotional. So how does it doing without blowing your lid or making the situation worse?
A friend of mine is going through a tough time at home. They are working through a difficult marriage, challenges at school and the struggle to focus on their job when their life is falling apart at home.
